In 1961, Nondas Lagonakis arrived in Lynn, Massachusetts, from Greece and began working at his brother-in-law’s family restaurant. Driven by ambition, Nondas worked three jobs for seven years to build a better future. In 1968, when Bill Aylward decided to sell his Salem restaurant, Nondas seized the opportunity to start his own venture.
For years, Nondas poured his heart into growing the business, but finding reliable help was a challenge. He shifted his focus to dedication and hard work, often starting his day at 7 a.m. after leaving the restaurant just hours earlier. Living next door with a two-way radio, Nondas and his wife, Ada, balanced raising their children while running the business. Their tireless commitment laid the foundation for success.
